The invention relates to a BCCH carrier emitted by a base station of a cellular digital radiocommunication system. The BCCH carrier is time-segmented into frames, the frames being divided into a determined number N IT of time intervals (IT0 to IT8). The BCCH carrier supports notably a BCCH physical channel, itself carrying at least one BCCH logical channel transmitting BCCH information (I). Each mobile station, for which the base station emitting the BCCH carrier is a neighbouring base station, has at least one listening window in each of at least N T consecutive frames, N T ~ 1, i.e., at least N F consecutive listening windows, each allowing the mobile station concerned to receive at least N E time intervals of the BCCH carrier, N E ~ 1. According to the invention, the BCCH carrier supports at least N R BCCH physical channels transmitted at constant power and made up of the recurrence in each frame of N R BCCH time intervals (IT0, IT3, IT6). The or each N R BCCH physical channel carries at least the BCCH logical channel, each BCCH time interval containing BCCH information at least once over N T consecutive frames. The number and spacing of the N R BCCH time intervals are such that the BCCH information is received entirely in the or one of the at least N F consecutive listening windows of each mobile station. The time intervals other than BCCH time intervals are emitted at a power level that can be controlled.

L'invention concerne une porteuse BCCH émise par une station de base d'un système de radiocommunication numérique cellulaire. La porteuse BCCH est segmentée de manière temporelle en trames, elles-mêmes divisées en un nombre déterminé N IT d'intervalles de temps (IT0 à IT8). La porteuse BCCH supporte notamment un canalphysique BCCH portant lui-même au moins un canal logique BCCH transmettant une information BCCH (I). Chaque station mobile, pour laquelle la station de base émettant la porteuse BCCH est une station de base voisine, dispose d'au moins une fenêtre d'écoute dans chacune d'au moins N T trame(s) successive(s), N T ~ 1, soit au moins N F fenêtre(s) d'écoute successive(s) permettant chacune à la station mobile concernée de recevoir au moins N E intervalle(s) de temps de la porteuse BCCH, N E ~ 1. Selon l'invention, la porteuse BCCH supporte au moins N R canal(aux) physique(s) BCCH transmis à puissance constante et constitué(s) par la récurrence dans chaque trame de N R intervalle(s) de temps BCCH (IT0, IT3, IT6). Le ou chacun des N R canal(aux) physique(s) BCCH porte au moins le canal logique BCCH, chaque intervalle de temps BCCH contenant l'information BCCH au moins une fois sur N T trame(s) successive(s). Le nombre et l'espacement du ou des N R intervalle(s) de temps BCCH sont tels que l'information BCCH est entièrement reçue dans la ou l'une des au moins N F fenêtre(s) d'écoute successive(s) de chaque station mobile. Les intervalles de temps autres que les intervalles de temps BCCH sont émis avec une puissance pouvant être contrôlée.
