Non-Contacting Multi-Function Sensor Arrangement Abstract Apparatus for measuring the amount of phase shift between first and second rotating shafts and/or the amount of limited movement of a third shaft from a reference position. First and second magnetically sensible members move through circular paths at speeds proportional to the speeds of the first and second shafts, respectively, and first and second signals are generated by first and second magnetic sensors fixed adjacent the respective paths of the sensible members. A third signal is generated by a third magnetic sensor , which is movable along the path of the second sensible member in response to movement of the third shaft. Clock pulses from clock are counted between successive second and first signals and are counted between successive second and third signals to provide digital information proportional to the phase shift between the first and second shafts and movement of the third shaft.
