A non-crystalline cefuroxime axetil solid dispersant is prepared by (a) dissolving cefuroxime axetil and a surfactant in an organic solvent; (b) suspending a water-insoluble inorganic carrier in the resulting solution; and (c) drying the resulting suspension to remove the organic solvent, said solid dispersant having an improved bioavailability and stability of cefuroxime axetil and being useful for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for oral administration.

Un dispersant solide de céfuroxime axétil non cristallin est préparé par (a) dissolution de céfuroxime axétil et d'un tensioactif dans un solvant organique, (b) mise en suspension d'un support inorganique non hydrosoluble dans la solution obtenue et (c) séchage de la suspension obtenue pour éliminer le solvant organique, ledit dispersant solide ayant une biodisponibilité et une stabilité améliorées du céfuroxime axétil et étant utile dans la préparation d'une composition pharmaceutique destinée à une administration par voie orale.
