NON-FIBROUS COMPOSITION Abstract of the Disclosure An improved surface covering composition is described. This composition comprises a chlorinated polyethylene having a chlorine content of between 35 and 48 weight percent, a 100% modulus of at least 250 to about 500 and an ultimate tensile strength of 1000-3500 psi; a polyalkylene arylate of the formula ?OC(O)R-CO(O)R'?n wherein n is about 4 to about 200, R is the radical derived from C8 to C14 aromatic dicarboxylic acids and R' is the radical derived from the glycol selected from the group C2 to C8 linear aliphatic glycol, C3 to C8 branched aliphatic glycol or mixtures thereof; and a poly(vinyl chlo- ride) resin.
