A secure relational database system is provided which utilizes a non-invasive encryption technique. Data pages stored or retrieved by a relational database management system are diverted to a multi-channel hardware encryption engine for processing. Each data page is divided into multiple buffers and distributed among the channels of the hardware encryption engine to be processed simultaneously. The data page is then reassembled and passed on to its intended destination.

L'invention concerne un système de base de données relationnelle sécurisé mettant en oeuvre une technique de chiffrement non invasif. Des pages de données stockées ou récupérées par le système de gestion de base de données relationnelle sont déviées vers un moteur de chiffrement matériel à canaux multiples aux fins de traitement. Chaque page de données est divisée en plusieurs tampons et distribuée parmi les canaux du moteur de chiffrement matériel aux fins de traitement simultané. La page de données est ensuite réassemblée et transmise à sa destination prévue.
