A non-linear flow restrictor that limits the maximum flowrate in a medical aspiration system. The flow restrictor changes the direction of fluid flow to generate non-linear effects in the fluid. This creates a non-linear relationship between the pressure within the system and the flowrate of the fluid. The non-linear relationship may define a pressure versus flowrate curve that has a flat portion where the flowrate does not increase with an increase in pressure.

L'invention concerne un limiteur de débit non linaire restreignant la vitesse d'écoulement maximale dans un système d'aspiration médical. Le limiteur de débit modifie le sens d'écoulement d'un fluide, de manière à produire des effets non linéaires dans le fluide, créant ainsi une relation non linéaire entre la pression dans le système et la vitesse d'écoulement du fluide. La courbe non linéaire entre la pression et la vitesse d'écoulement présente une partie plate car la vitesse d'écoulement n'augmente pas lorsque la pression augmente.
