ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a non-linear resistance element comprising a PIN type or NIN type semiconductor layer formed between two electrode layers, and a composite layer inserted in the semicondcutor layer, the composite layer containing at least one component capable of providing a chemical equivalent for forming an electrical insulator with a component of the semiconductor layer.
