A non-metallic, diaphragm-type tank assembly for use with a pressurized water system is disclosed. The tank assembly comprising a non-metallic outer body; a non-metallic inner shell assembly, including an upper portion and a lower portion, that is contained by the non-metallic outer body; and a diaphragm that is structured and arranged about the upper and lower portions of the inner shell assembly to separate said inner shell assembly into a water portion and a pressurized gas portion. Preferably, the diaphragm comprises a resilient, non-porous material and includes a bead portion comprising an annular ring that is convex on an inner side and concave on an outer side at its outer periphery. More preferably, the bead portion is removably secured to the overlapable end portion of the lower portion of the inner shell assembly by a clamping system that comprises an inner clamp hoop and an outer band. Specifically, the outer band can be mechanically crimped to compress and secure the second overlapable end portion and the bead portion of the diaphragm between the inner clamp hoop and the outer band to provide a watertight seal for the water portion.
L'invention décrit un ensemble de vase non métallique à diaphragme utilisable avec un système d'eau pressurisée. L'ensemble de vase comporte un corps externe non métallique ; un ensemble de paroi interne non métallique, avec une section supérieure et une section inférieure, contenu dans le corps externe non métallique de même qu'une membrane structurée et agencée autour des sections supérieure et inférieure de l'ensemble de paroi interne pour séparer ledit ensemble de paroi interne en une partie eau et une partie gaz pressurisé. Il est préconisé que la membrane soit faite d'une matière résistante et non poreuse et comprenne une partie de bourrelet comportant une bague annulaire convexe sur un côté interne et concave sur un côté externe au niveau de sa périphérie externe. Il est préférable que la partie de bourrelet soit fixée de façon amovible à la partie d'extrémité chevauchable de la partie inférieure de l'ensemble de paroi interne par un système de fixation comprenant un cerceau de serrage et une bande externe. En particulier, la bande externe peut être sertie mécaniquement pour comprimer et fixer la seconde partie d'extrémité chevauchable et la partie de bourrelet de la membrane entre le cerceau de serrage interne et la bande externe pour que la partie eau dispose d'un joint étanche à l'eau.
