The present invention is directed to a coated product which permits the transmission therethrough of aqueous liquid, said product comprising a substrate of porous hydrophobic material to which has been applied a coating selected from the group consisting of compounds of the formula (see formula I) and mixtures thereof, where Me equals methyl, R1 equals methyl or R2, and R2 = C p H2p-(OC2H4)m-(OC3H6)n-OR', wherein x is about 0 to 200, y is about 0 to 50, p is about 2 to 5, n is about 3 to 30, m is about 3 to 60, and R' is independently in each occurrence hydrogen, an alkyl group with 1-4 carbons, or an acetyl group, with the proviso that when y=0, R1 equals R2, and the values of x, y, ,n and m are selected such that the overall silicone content of the copolymer is between 5 and 20% and the ethyleneoxy content of the copolymer is between 10 and 40% and the propyleneoxy content is between 50 and 80%, wherein said product exhibits high resistance to being removed from said substrate by contact with aqueous liquid and said product exhibits a reduced tendency to migrate to abutting surfaces to which it was applied.
