PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un adjuvant fluidifiant non polluant pour boues de forage à base d'eau saline et/ou d'eau douce, dans le but de conserver leurs propriétés rhéo- logiques dans les conditions extrêmes de température et de pression régnant dans les trous de forage à grande profon- deur. Cet adjuvant est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en un copolymère hydrosoluble résultant de la copolymérisation d'acides éthyléniques, d'acrylamides et d'esters éthyléniques de l'acide phosphorique, de formule générale: Image dans laquelle les indices m, n et p exprimés en pour cent en mole sont choisis dans les intervalles: 0 % < m < 90 % 2 % < n < 100 % 0 % < p < 90 % tandis que les radicaux R1, R2 et R4 sont choisis dans le groupe constitué par H et les alkyles et que le radical R3 est choisi dans le groupe des alkylènes et des oxydes et/ou polyoxydes d'alkylène.
