NON-REFLECTIVE IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE Abstract of the Disclosure An image display device comprises an image to be displayed and a cover of substantially transparent material overlying and in optical contact with the image. The cover has a minutely textured outer surface such that the angle between a first vector normal to a randomly selected point on the surface; and, a second vector which passes through the selected point and which is normal to a plane tangential to the image at the point of intersection of the second vector with the image; has substantially unity probability of exceeding 45°. An array of parallel, longitudinal right angle prisms of height exceeding about fifty times the wave- length of light provides a preferred non-reflective image cover.
