Abstract of the Disclosure A non-return valve is disclosed which has a valve housing,a valve seat, at least one closing part co-operating with the valve seat and mounted pivotably In the housing, and at least one closing spring held stationarily in the housing and comprising at least one pivotable operating arm which engages with the closing part. The closing spring is arranged in the inlet side of the internal chamber of the valve housing and a connecting means is provided which connects the operating arm to the closing part under tension in the direction in which the closing part pivots. The closing part and the operating arm are permitted to move relatively in the longitudinal direction of the operating arm.
