A racquet stringing machine which accomplishes tensioning of the strings of a racquet (26) by the use of two or more combination tensioning and holding clamp units (12) which operate directly on the string inside the racquet (26). The present invention also provides a fixed, non-rotating racquet head frame holding fixture (10) that holds the racquet (26) stationary throughout the stringing process. The racquet is supported against distortion by compressive mounts (14) disposed along the outer perimeter of the racquet head frame only. The racquet stringing machine further includes an offset pedestal (24) which stabilizes the machine by counterweight effect while keeping the floor beneath the racquet holding fixture free of obstruction.

L'invention porte sur une machine à corder des raquettes destinée à tendre les cordes de raquettes (26), comportant deux ou plus de deux unités combinées de tension et de blocage (12) agissant directement sur les cordes à l'intérieur de la raquette (26). Elle comporte en outre un dispositif (10) de maintien, fixe et non rotatif, du cadre de raquette maintenant la raquette (26) fixe pendant le processus de cordage. La raquette est assurée contre le voilage par des sabots de compression (14) qui ne s'appliquent que sur le périmètre extérieur du cadre.
