Use of a non-sacrificial electrode made of synthetic graphite for applications utilizing conductive immersed treatment of wastewater is disclosed. The synthetic graphite is manufactured from a petroleum based extruded or molded composite material in any of plate, bar or coil forms. The electrodes are especially useful in the primary reaction chamber of an electrocoagulation apparatus.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une électrode non sacrificielle fabriquée dans un graphite synthétique et destinée à des applications comprenant l'utilisation d'un traitement immergé et conducteur des eaux usées. Le graphite synthétique est fabriqué à partir d'un matériau composite moulé ou extrudé à partir du pétrole et se présentant sous la forme d'une plaque, d'une barre ou d'une bobine. Les électrodes sont particulièrement utilisées dans une première chambre de réaction d'un appareil d'électrocoagulation.
