Abstract A non-skid case for carrying packaged soft drinks and the like is made as a one piece plastic molding and has depressions in the lower surface of its bottom panel which extend only partially through the bottom panel, and are con- figured to capture and retain high friction pads inserted in the depressions. These cases may be used on conveyor systems, etc. in place of wooden cases without sliding tendencies which are otherwise caused by the self-lubricating characteristics of plastics such as polyethylene. Alignment of the pads in accordance with the normal disposition of bottles in the case enhances the stability of filled and stacked cases, and since the pad is not retained in a through-hole passing through the bottom panel, local entrapment of syrups, etc., which can lead to organic growth in that region, is avoided.
