A lubricating oil suitable for machinery which may come into incidental contact with food is described, which contains a food grade base oil and a combination of food grade additives including a thickener, an antioxidant, a rust inhibitor, an anti-wear additive, an antifoamant, optionally a metal passivator, and a combination of up to 2.5 wt.% emulsifier and coupling agent. The lubricating oil exhibits good resistance to wear, oxidation and rust, and reduced sludging at equipment surface temperatures of about 200°F and higher.
L'invention concerne une huile lubrifiante destinée à des machines et susceptible de venir en contact imprévu avec de la nourriture. Cette huile contient une huile de base de qualité alimentaire et une combinaison d'additifs de qualité alimentaire comprenant un épaississant, un antioxydant, un antirouille, un additif anti-usure, un antimousse, éventuellement un agent passivant de métaux ainsi qu'une combinaison de jusqu'à 2,5 % en poids d'un émulsifiant et d'un agent de couplage. Cette huile lubrifiante présente une bonne résistance à l'usure, à l'oxydation et à la rouille et occasionne un encrassage à des températures de surface de l'équipement s'élevant à environ 200 DEG F et au-delà.
