The invention relates to vaccines used in the eradication or control of pestivirus infections, particularly those used in pigs or ruminants. The invention provides nucleic acid, pestivirus-like particles and a pestivirus vaccine, comprising said nucleic acid or particles, which is capable to elicit a proper immune response without having the ability to spread throughout the vaccinated animal, thereby avoiding the negative consequences of viral spread. Preferably said immune response allows for serological discrimination between vaccinated animals and wild-type pestivirus infected animals.

L'invention concerne des vaccins utilisés pour éradiquer ou combattre les infections par pestivirus, en particulier, les vaccins destinés aux porcs et aux ruminants. L'invention concerne des acides nucléiques, des particules analogues aux pestivirus et un vaccin contre les pestivirus, comprenant lesdits acides nucléiques ou particules, qui peut éliciter une réponse immunitaire adéquate sans avoir la possibilité de se répandre dans tout l'organisme de l'animal vacciné, les conséquences néfastes d'une prolifération virale étant ainsi évitées. De préférence, ladite réponse immunitaire permet la discrimination sérologique entre des animaux vaccinés et des animaux infectés par des pestivirus de type sauvage.
