NON-UNIAXIAL PERMANENT MAGNET MATERIAL ABSTRACT A permanent magnet material having the formula, in atomic %: TM(86.5-x-y)RE(3.5+y)B(10+x), wherein -6.02?x?6.02 and -2.52?y?2.52; or TM(96.5(1+q)RE(1+q)B(2.5+r), wherein -1.48?r?1.48 and 0?q?6.48-r; and wherein TM is a transition metal, RE is a rare earth metal, and B is boron or a combination of boron and carbon. me permanent magnet materials include at least 10 weight percent non-uniaxial material and possess a coercivity of at least 1,000 Oersteds.
