A non-volatile semiconductor memory device, which comprises (i) an interface having an input for receiving an input clock and a set of data lines for receiving commands issued by a controller including an erase command; (ii) a module having circuit components in a feedback loop configuration and being driven by a reference clock; (iii) a clock control circuit capable of controllably switching between a first state in which the reference clock tracks the input clock and a second state in which the reference clock is decoupled from the input clock; and (iv) a command processing unit configured to recognize the commands and to cause the clock control circuit to switch from the first state to the second state in response to recognizing the erase command. The module consumes less power when the reference clock is decoupled from the input clock than when the reference clock tracks the input clock.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de mémoire à semi-conducteurs non volatile comprenant (i) une interface ayant une entrée pour recevoir une horloge d'entrée et un ensemble de lignes de données pour recevoir des commandes émises par un contrôleur comprenant une commande d'effacement; (ii) un module ayant des composants de circuit dans une configuration de boucle de réaction et étant commandé par une horloge de référence; (iii) un circuit de contrôle d'horloge capable de commuter de manière contrôlable entre un premier état dans lequel l'horloge de référence suit l'horloge d'entrée et un second état dans lequel l'horloge de référence est découplée de l'horloge d'entrée; et (iv) une unité de traitement de commande configurée pour reconnaître les commandes et pour entraîner la commutation du circuit de contrôle d'horloge du premier état au second état en réponse à la reconnaissance de la commande d'effacement.
