Abstract - Centering device of this invention is particu- larly useful when mounted on casing which must be run into wellbores to assure uniform clearance between the wellbore and the casing. The outstanding difference between this centering device and other non-welded centering devices is that this unit does not require any bending or deformation to any of its elements during the assembly or disassembly procedure, yet incorporates stand-off characteristics necessary during the utilization of the unit within the wellbore. The design and construction of this invention allows for the secure attaching of the elements to form the centering device through the use of an independent retaining ring which is unique to this invention.
