IR#4688 NON WOVEN FABRIC CONSTRUCTION FOR DETERGENT POUCH ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to the production of a non-woven web material for use in detergent pouches. The non-woven web is produced from fibers which shrink on contact with water. The fibers, when wetted, pucker to provide intersticing through which detergent particles can pass. For strengthening the pouch, non-water sensitive fibers can he incorporated in the non-woven web.
