Abstract of the Disclosure A press fit connector for nondetachably coupling thin- walled pipes formed of titanium or a titanium alloy and intended for conveying corrosive liquids is fabricated from titanium or a titanium allow. The connector includes, on its continuous wall, a bead shaped end which defines a hollow and within which a sealing ring is disposed. An end section of a pipe is slidably receivable within the connector and the bead-shaped end is then clamped between the opposed jaws of a pressing tool to deform the bead-shaped end, thereby pressing the sealing ring against the outer periphery of the pipe and securing together the connector and pipe in form-locked, force-locked and liquid tight relation. The connector may also include a stop for limiting sliding movement of the pipe end section into the interior of the press fit connector beyond the stop.
