Abstract: A nonfreezing pipe with a double wall construction comprises an inner shell having openings at its opposite ends. An outer shell extends axially around the inner shell to form an annular space surrounding the inner shell. At least one end closure member connects one end of the outer shell to an external wall portion of the inner shell. The annular space is evacuated. The con- struction permits relative thermal expansion between the two shells, which facilitates manufacture and reduces damage due to stress.
