Abstract of the Disclosure An all-nonionic liquid shampoo includes an amine oxide, such as myristyl dimethyl amine oxide, a polyoxyethylene hexitan mono-higher fatty acid ester, such a polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate having about 20 mols of ethylene oxide per mol, and at least one of a higher alkoxy polyoxyethylene ethanol wherein the higher alkoxy is of about 10 to 20 carbon atoms and the ethylene oxide content, including the CH2CH2O- of the ethanol, is about 6 to 20 mols per mol and alkyl glycoside, the alkyl of which is of about 10 to 20 carbon atoms, or in place of such higher alkoxy polyoxyethylene ethanol and/or alkyl glycoside, a higher fatty acid lower alkanolamide wherein the higher fatty acid is of about 10 to 20 carbon atoms and the alkanolamide is a monoalkanolamide or dialkanolamide, such as coconut oil fatty acids mono- ethanolamide, and polyacrylamide, such as one of a weight average molecular weight in the range of 100,000 to 3,000,000, and water. Superior nonionic shampoos of desirable cleaning power, hair treating properties, viscosity and flow properties result from the described compositions. ?
