The object of the invention is a high performance tape for use in insulated glass units (IGUs) that combines exceptionally low permeability to gases and vapors with extremely low thermal conductivity. Prior art includes low-permeability alu-minum-backed tapes as well as low-conductivity polymer-backed tapes, but nothing currently available serves both of these needs with a single product.
