A composition consisting essentially of vernix for a skin curative and skin protectant effect and a method of producing. A natural or synthetic vernix is dispersed in a film-forming amount in a biocompatible liquid such as dimethylsulfoxide, amniotic fluid and/or pulmonary surfactant to form a film. The film may be applied to a growing layer of epithelial cells either directly or supported on a substrate such as a wound dressing, a diaper, or a feminine hygiene product.

La présente invention concerne une composition sensiblement à base d'enduit sébacé se distinguant pour ses vertus dermatologiques curatives et protectrices. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production correspondant. En l'occurrence, on réalise une dispersion d'enduit sébacé naturel ou synthétique dans des proportions propres à le rendre filmogène. Le milieu de dispersion est un liquide biocompatible filmogène tel que le diméthylsulfoxide, le liquide amniotique et/ou le mucus pulmonaire tensio-actif. Ce film peut s'appliquer sur une couche de croissance de cellules épithéliales, soit directement, soit en utilisant un substrat support tel qu'un pansement pour blessures, une couche, ou un produit d'hygiène féminine.
