The invention relates to the use of a nonwoven material as underlayer for a fabric covering seats intended for passenger transport by road, rail or air. The said nonwoven material is produced by a dry process and has an apparent density between 20 and 100 kg/m3 and a thickness between 4 and 20 mm. The said nonwoven material comprises a minimum of 50% of synthetic fibres of a thickness between 3 and 40 dtex and of a length between 2 and 12 cm. The fibres are needle bonded. When the nonwoven material is subjected to a static pressure of 20 cN/cm2, it retains a minimum thickness of 2 mm. The nonwoven material used in accordance with the invention is in particular intended for improving the evacuation of perspiration emanating from the user of the seat.
L'invention porte sur l'utilisation d'un matériau non tissé comme sous-couche pour un tissu recouvrant des sièges destinés au transport de passagers par voie routière, ferroviaire ou aérienne. Ledit matériau non tissé est produit à sec et a une masse volumique apparente de 20 à 100 kg/m3 et une épaisseur de 4 à 20 mm. Ledit matériau non tissé est constitué d'un minimum de 50 % de fibres synthétiques d'une épaisseur de 3 à 40 dtex et d'une longueur de 2 à 12 cm. Les fibres sont aiguilletées. Quand le matériau non tissé est soumis à une pression statique de 20 cN/cm2, il conserve une épaisseur minimale de 2 mm. Le matériau non tissé de la présente invention vise particulièrement à améliorer l'évacuation de la transpiration émanant de l'utilisateur du siège.
