L'invention concerne un applicateur à spatule crantée (1) comprenant des moyens de préhension (3) reliés à une spatule (2) dont le bord de travail rectiligne (2c) est muni d'une pluralité de crans (4) identiques et régulièrement espacés selon une distance comprise entre 35 et 50 mm, la largeur desdits crans étant comprise entre 9 et 18 mm et leur hauteur entre 8 et 20 mm. L'invention concerne également un procédé de pose par collage de revêtements de sol rigides, notamment de parquet, qui met en oeuvre ledit applicateur et une composition adhésive comprenant de 0,2 à 5 % en poids de particules sensiblement sphériques d'un matériau dont le diamètre substantiellement identique peut aller de 1 à 7 mm. L'invention concerne enfin la composition adhésive mise en oeuvre dans ledit procédé.
