Novel 2,3,5-trimethyl-4-hydroxy anilide derivatives of general formula 1, wherein, in particular, R1 is phenyl, R2 is H, R3 is C12H25 and A is a sulphur atom, are disclosed. A method for preparing said derivatives, pharmaceutical compositions containing at least one of said compounds as the active principle, and the use of such derivatives for making drugs for treating hypercholesterolaemia or atherosclerosis, are also disclosed.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés de 2,3,5 triméthyl-4-hydroxy anilides, de formule générale (I), dans laquelle en particulier R1 représente phényle, R2 représente H, R3 représente C12H25 et A est un atome de soufre. Elle concerne également leur procédé de préparation et les compositions pharmaceutiques comprenant à titre de principe actif au moins un de ces composés, ainsi que l'utilisation de ces dérivés pour la fabrication de médicaments destinés au traitement de l'hypercholestérolémie ou de l'athérosclérose.
