Novel 2,6-diaminopyridine derivatives of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are as defined below, are disclosed. These compounds inhibit cyclin-dependent kinases. These compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters have antiproliferative activity and are useful in the treatment or control of cancer, in particular solid tumors. This invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds and to methods of treating or controlling cancer, most particularly the treatment or control of breast lung, colon and prostate tumors. Also disclosed are intermediates useful in the preparation of these novel 2,6-diaminopyridine derivatives.
L'invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés de 2,6-diaminopyridine représentés par la formule générale (I) dans laquelle R1 et R2 désignent des éléments décrits ci-dessous. Ces composés inhibent les kinases dépendantes des cyclines. Ces composés et leurs sels et esters de qualité pharmaceutique ont une activité antiproliférative et peuvent être utilisés pour le traitement du cancer ou la lutte contre le cancer, en particulier dans le cas des tumeurs solides. L'invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant ces composés, ainsi que des méthodes destinées au traitement du cancer et à la lutte contre le cancer, plus particulièrement au traitement de tumeurs mammaires, pulmonaires, colorectales et prostatiques.
