The invention relates to novel .alpha.-fluoroacrylic acid derivatives of formula (I), wherein X, n, R1, R2 and R3 have the meaning defined in Claim 1. The invention further relates to combinations of active substances and antidotes, which contain .alpha.-fluoroacrylic acid derivatives and which are extremely well-suited for use in useful plant cultures as well as to the use of said substances and to a method for protecting cultivated plants.
