Novel oligonucleotide analogs of the formulae I and II (see Formula I) (see Formula II) in which A, B, D, R1, R2, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z, a, b, m, m', n and n' have the meanings stated in the description, with valuable physical, biological and pharmacological properties, and a process for the preparation thereof are described. Application thereof relates to the use as inhibitors of gene expression (antisense oligonucleotides, ribozymes, sense oligonucleotides and triplex forming oligonucleotides), as probes for detecting nucleic acids and as aids in molecular biology.
L'invention concerne de nouveaux analogues d'oligonucléotides représentés par la formule I (voir la formule I) et par la formule II (voir la formule II), où A, B, D, R1, R2, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z, a, b, m, m', n et n' ont les significations définies dans la description, lesquels analogues présentent d'importantes propriétés physiques, biologiques et pharmaceutiques; l'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire lesdits analogues. L'application de l'invention consiste à utiliser lesdits analogues en tant qu'inhibiteurs de l'expression génique (oligonucléotides antisens, ribozymes, oligonucléotides sens et oligonucléotides formant un triplex), en tant que sondes pour la détection d'acides nucléiques et en tant qu'outils en biologie moléculaire.
