7-O-(4-Amino-2,4,6-trideoxy-2-fluoro-.alpha.-L-talo- pyranosyl)-daunomycinone or -adriamycinone is now synthe-sized as a novel daunomycinone or adriamycinone derivative having the general formula (see fig. I) wherein R is a hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group. These novel compounds according to this invention exhibit excellent antitumor activities and have a high solubility in water, and hence they are useful as an antitumor agent.

Synthèse de 7-O-(4-Amino-2,4,6-tridésoxy-2-fluoro-alpha-L-talopyranosyl)daunomycinone ou -adriamycinone en tant que nouveau dérivé de daunomycinone ou d'adriamycinone, de formule générale (voir fig. I), où R est un atome d'hydrogène ou un hydroxyle. Selon l'invention, ces nouveaux composés possèdent d'excellentes propriétés antitumeurs et sont très hydrosolubles; ils sont donc utiles comme agents antitumeurs.
