An EST fragment comprising the base sequence of SEQ ID NO:1; a DNA comprising the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2; a DNA hybridizable with the DNA of SEQ ID NO:2 under stringent conditions and encoding a protein having an activity of binding to DNA; and a protein encoded by the above DNA. An antisense nucleic acid to the DNA sequence as described above; a method of searching for a substance capable of controlling the expression of the above DNA or the activity of the protein; and a test reagent and a test method for allergic diseases.
