A bioemulsifier designated Alasan or E-KA53 is produced from Acinetobacter radioresistens strain KA53. In its essentially pure form it has the characteristics of a molecular weight of from about 100,000 to 2,000,000 Daltons; emulsifying activity which increases with preheating at increasing temperatures - 60-90 °C; resistance to strong alkali while retaining increased emulsifying activity; reduced viscosity that varies as a function of temperature treatment; and emulsifying activity that varies as a function of pH and magnesium ions.
Bioémulsifiant appelé Alasan ou E-KA53 produit à partir d'une souche KA53 de Acinetobacter radioresistans. Dans sa forme sensiblement pure il présente les caractéristiques d'un poids moléculaire allant d'environ 100.000 à environ 2.000.000 Daltons. Son activité émulsifiante augmente par préchauffage à des températures croissantes de 60 - 90 ~C. Il résiste aux alcalis forts tout en gardant son activité émulsifiante élevée. Sa viscosité réduite varie en fonction d'un traitement en température. Son activité émulsifiante varie en fonction du pH et des ions magnésium.
