The present invention relates to a family of new porphine compounds for use as colorants and/or colorant stabilizers. The new porphine compounds may be used alone or may be used in combination with one or more colorants to provide light stability to colorants. The present invention further relates to inks containing the new porphine compounds and a method for making the new compounds. The present invention also relates to improved methods of making porphines. The improved processes allow the production of porphines at lower cost and higher yields compared to conventional methods of making porphines.

La présente invention se rapporte à la famille de nouveaux composés à base de porphine pouvant être utilisés comme colorants et/ou stabilisateurs de colorants. Ces nouveaux composés peuvent être utilisés seuls ou en association avec un ou plusieurs colorants pour conférer une photostabilité aux colorants. La présente invention se rapporte en outre à des compositions d'encre contenant les nouveaux composés à base de porphine et un procédé de production desdits nouveaux composés. La présente invention se rapporte enfin à des procédés améliorés de production de porphines, qui permettent de produire des porphines à coût réduit pour des rendements élevés par comparaison avec des procédés classiques de production de porphines.
