[PROBLEMS] To provide a cyclic aminophenylalkanoic acid derivative which can act as a human peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR) agonist, particularly an agonist of a human PPAR.alpha. isoform and is effective for the treatment of a disorder of lipid metabolism, diabetes or the like or an addition salt thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the derivative or salt. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A cyclic aminophenylalkanoic acid derivative represented by the general formula (1) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.

Le problème à résoudre dans le cadre de cette invention concerne l'obtention d'un dérivé acide aminophénylalcanoïque cyclique (ou un de ses sels d~addition) pouvant jouer le rôle d'un agoniste de récepteur humain activé par les proliférateurs de peroxysomes (PPAR), en particulier un agoniste d'une isoforme humaine PPAR.alpha., efficace dans le traitement d'un trouble du métabolisme lipidique, du diabète ou analogue, ainsi que d~une composition pharmaceutique contenant ce dérivé ou son sel. La solution proposée consiste en un dérivé acide aminophénylalcanoïque cyclique représenté par la formule générale (1) ou un de ses sels acceptable sur le plan pharmacologique.
