A novel feline cytokine protein having the activitiy of potentiating the cytotoxic activity of feline cytotoxic T lymphocyte cells; a DNA sequence encoding this protein; a recombinant DNA for the expression of the same; an expression vector containing this recombinant DNA; a transformant produced by using this recombinant DNA; a process for producing the above-mentioned protein by culturing the recombinant; and an antibody against the protein. The feline cytokine protein consists of an FLAFp35/FLAFp40 heterodimer and is usable in the treatment of infectious diseases with feline viruses such as feline herpesvirus 1 (FHV-1) and feline calicivirus (FCV).

Cette invention concerne une nouvelle protéine de cytokine féline, laquelle est capable de potentialiser l'activité cytotoxique de cellules lymphocytes T cytotoxiques et félines. Cette invention concerne également les éléments suivants: une séquence d'ADN codant cette protéine; un ADN recombinant permettant de l'exprimer; un vecteur d'expression contenant cet ADN recombinant; un transformant obtenu à l'aide de cet ADN recombinant; un procédé de production de la protéine susmentionnée qui consiste à cultiver le recombinant; et enfin, un anticorps dirigé contre la protéine. La protéine de cytokine féline consiste en un hétérodimère FLAFp35/FLAFp40, et peut être utilisée dans le traitement de maladies infectieuses dues à des virus félins tels que le virus de l'herpès 1 félin (FHV-1) et le calicivirus félin (FCV).
