Means and method for at least partial inhibition of tumor growth are provided. Methods makes use of binding molecules capable of specifically binding to an epitope present on a subset of fibronectin proteins. By providing an individual with a binding molecule of the invention it is possible to interfere with sites of angiogenesis or sites that seen active angiogenesis in the recent past. Through this interference blood flow is at least in part inhibited. Through this inhibition it is possible to at least in part inhibit processes dependent on active angiogenesis in said individual, such as tumor growth.

Moyens et procédés pour l'inhibition au moins partielle de la croissance tumorale. Lesdits procédés reposent sur l'utilisation de molécules de liaison capables de se lier spécifiquement à un épitope présent sur un sous-ensemble de protéines fibronectine. Lorsque l'on administre à un sujet une molécule de liaison selon la présente invention, il est possible d'interférer avec des sites d'angiogenèse ou des sites où s'est produite une angiogenèse active dans le passé récent. Cette interférence inhibe au moins en partie le flux sanguin. Grâce à cette inhibition, il est possible d'inhiber au moins en partie des processus associés à l'angiogenèse active chez lesdits sujets, tels que la croissance tumorale.
