A fused indan derivative represented by general formula (1), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and an antitumor drug, wherein ring A represents an optionally substituted benzene or naphthalene ring, or a benzene ring having a lower alkylenedioxy group; ring B represents a benzene ring which may be substituted or has a lower alkylenedioxy group; Y represents -N=CR- or -CR=N-; R represents -NR1R2, or -OR3 or an optionally substituted nitrogenous heterocyclic group; R1 and R2 are the same or different from each other and each represents hydrogen, phenyl, an optionally substituted nitrogenous heterocyclic group, or a lower alkyl group which may be substituted by at least one substituent nitrogenous heterocyclic group, or a lower alkyl group which may be substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of optionally substituted amino, lower alkoxy, phenyl, a nitrogenous heterocyclic group, an amine oxide group substituted by lower alkyl, and hydroxy; and R3 represents lower alkyl which may be substituted by substituted amino, provided the case where R represents an optionally substituted nitrogenous heterocyclic group and rings A and B represent each an unsubstituted benzene ring, is excluded.

Dérivé d'indane fusionné représenté par la formule générale (1), sel dudit dérivé pharmaceutiquement acceptable et médicament antitumoral: (1) dans laquelle le noyau A représente un noyau naphtalène ou benzène éventuellement substitué ou un noyau benzène possédant un groupe alkylènedioxy inférieur; le noyau B représente un noyau de benzène pouvant être substitué ou possédant un groupe alkylènedioxy inférieur; Y représente -N=CR- ou -CR=N-; R représente -NR¿1?R¿2?, -OR¿3? ou un groupe hétérocyclique azoté éventuellement substitué; R¿1? et R¿2? sont semblables ou différents l'un de l'autre et chacun représente hydrogène, phényle, un groupe hétérocyclique azoté éventuellement substitué ou un groupe alkyle inférieur pouvant être substitué par au moins un substituant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par amino éventuellement substitué, alcoxy inférieur, phényle, un groupe hétérocyclique azoté, un groupe amine oxyde substitué par alkyle inférieur, et hydroxy; R¿3? représente alkyle inférieur pouvant être substitué par amino substitué, à l'exclusion du cas où R représente un groupe hétérocyclique azoté éventuellement substitué et où les noyaux A et B représentent chacun un noyau de benzène non substitué.
