A protein and DNA encoding the same which are useful as preventives and remedies for diseases such as hypoglycemia. This protein is also useful as a reagent for screening a compound which inhibits the binding of this protein to IRAP (insulin responsive aminopeptidase) or GLUT4 (glucose transporter 4). The compound inhibiting the binding of this protein to IRAP or GLUT4 is useful as a preventive and a remedy for diseases such as hyperglycemia and diabetes.

Cette invention concerne une protéine et un ADN codant pour cette protéine convenant bien pour le traitement préventif ou curatif de pathologies telles que l'hypoglycémie. Cette protéine est également utile en tant que réactif pour le criblage d'un composé qui inhibe la liaison de cette protéine avec IRAP (aminopeptidase sensible à l'Insuline) ou GLUT4 (transporteur 4 du glucose).
