There is provided heterocyclic compounds of the following formula (I): in which, A is optionally substituted alkyl group, optionally substituted aryl group or optionally substituted heterocyclic group; B1 and B2 are, hydrogen atom, alkyl group or hydroxyl group; or combined together to represent carbonyl group; X is oxygen atom, sulfur atom, carbon atom or nitrogen atom; dotted line shows either presence or absence of bond; n is integer of 1 or 2; and the group -X-Y- represents optionally substituted alkylene or cyclic alkenylene bond; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These compounds have good affinity for .alpha.4.beta.2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and activate the same to thereby exert a preventive or therapeutic effect on cerebral dysfunction.11
L'invention concerne des composés hétérocycliques de la formule suivante (I), dans laquelle A est éventuellement un groupe alkyle substitué, un groupe aryle substitué ou un groupe hétérocyclique substitué; B?1¿ et B?2¿ représentent un atome hydrogène, alkyle ou hydroxyle ou, combinés, un groupe carbonyle; X est un atome d'oxygène, de soufre, de carbone ou d'azote; la ligne en pointillés indique la présence, ou l'absence, d'une liaison; n est un entier de 1 ou 2; et le groupe X-Y- représente éventuellement un alkylène substitué ou une liaison d'alkylène cyclique; ou un sel de ceux-ci pharmaceutiquement acceptable. Ces composés présentent une bonne affinité pour les récepteurs d'acétylcholine nicotinique .alpha.4.beta.2 qu'ils activent afin d'exercer un effet préventif ou thérapeutique sur des dysfonctionnements cérébraux.
