An isolated human STRA6 (stimulated by retinoic acid) polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 80 % sequence identity to one or both of SEQ ID NOS: 2 or 4, polynucleotides encoding these polypeptides, and antibodies to the polypeptides are useful in treating cancers.
