2-aryl-4-quinolones are converted into phosphates by reacting with tetrabenzyl pyrophosphate to form dibenzyl phosphates thereof, which are then subject to hydrogenation to replace dibenzyl groups with H, followed by reacting with Amberlite IR-120(Na+ form) to form disodium salts. The results of preliminary screening revealed that these phosphates showed significant anti-cancer activity. A novel intermediate, 2-selenophene 4-quinolone and .LAMBDA./, .LAMBDA./-dialkylaminoalkyl derivatives of 2-phenyl-4-quinolones are also synthesized. These novel intermediates exhibited significant anticancer activities.

Selon l'invention, des 2-aryl-4-quinolones sont converties en phosphates par une réaction avec du pyrophosphate de tétrabenzyle pour former des phosphates de dibenzyle, lesquels sont ensuite soumis à une hydrogénation pour remplacer les groupes dibenzyle par un H, suivie par une réaction avec de l'Amberlite IR-120 (forme Na+) afin de former des sels disodiques. Les résultats d'un criblage préliminaire révèlent que ces phosphates présentent une importante activité anticancéreuse. Un intermédiaire innovant, la 2-sélénophène 4-quinolone, et des dérivés N,N-dialkylaminoalkyle des 2-phényl-4-quinolones sont également synthétisés. Ces intermédiaires innovants présentent une importante activité anticancéreuse.
