(1) A polypeptide having an amino acid sequence being identical or substantially identical with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:7 (strand A); (2) a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence being identical or substantially identical with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:8 (strand B); (3) a polypeptide wherein the strand A and B are bonded to each other via a disulfide bond (double-stranded) or its salt; (4) DNAs encoding the same, etc. These polypeptides and DNAs encoding the same are usable in, for example, diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases (diabetics, etc.) caused by metabolic errors of energy sources such as carbohydrates (for example, sugar metabolism, lipid metabolism).

Lesdits polypeptides et les ADN codants correspondants peuvent servir, par exemple, au diagnostic, au traitement ou à la prévention de maladies (diabète, etc.) causées par des perturbations du métabolisme de sources d'énergie telles que les hydrates de carbone (notamment, le métabolisme du sucre, le métabolisme des lipides).
