Disclosed is an iridium-platinum complex represented by the following formula. (I) (In the formula, Cp* represents a pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligand or the like; X represents a hydrogen or a substituent such as bromine or an organic group placed in a phenyl group at the ortho position, the meta position, the para position or a combination of them; and Y represents a methyl group or the like.)
