Microorganisms belonging to the genus Streptomyces and being capable of producing K99-5278A, K99-5278B and K99-5278C, which are drugs efficacious against infection with so-called fungi such as molds and yeasts, are cultured in a medium to accumulate the K99-5278A, K99-5278B and K99-5278C in the culture medium. Then the K99-5278A, K99-5278B and K99-5278C are collected from the culture medium. The thus obtained substances are expected as being useful as novel antifungal agents.

Ces micro-organismes sont cultivés dans un milieu de culture dans lequel s'accumulent K99-5278A, K99-5278B et K99-5278C. Les matières K99-5278A, K99-5278B et K99-5278C sont ensuite extraites du milieu de culture. Les matières obtenues sont susceptibles d'être utiles comme nouveaux agents antifongiques.
