The invention relates to the use of block copolymers, obtained by controlled radical polymerisation in the presence of alkoxyamine derivatives of substituted nitroxides, for the production of perfectly transparent acrylic films with the mechanical properties required for the applications envisaged, whereby the transparency thereof remains under mechanical stress and a wide temperature range. The total thickness is between 40 and 300 m, preferably 70 to 90 m. The film has a haze of less than 2 and elongation at breakage of more than 50 %.

La présente invention concerne l'utilisation de copolymères blocs, obtenus par polymérisation radicalaire contrôlée en présence d'alcoxyamines dérivés de nitroxydes encombrés, pour la fabrication de films acryliques parfaitement transparents présentant les propriétés mécaniques requises pour les types d'applications visées et dont la transparence demeure même sous sollicitation mécanique et dans un large domaine de température. L'épaisseur totale sera comprise entre 40 et 300 µm, de façon préférable de 70 à 90 µm. Ce film présente un Trouble inférieur à 2 et un allongement à la rupture supérieur à 50%.
