Use of an aqueous solution comprising a surfactant, of formula (I): R1-O-[CH(R2)-CH(R3)-O]n-R4 ~(I) in which R1 represents a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon radical comprising from 5 to 31 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 represent, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical comprising 1 or 2 carbon atoms, R4 represents a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a benzyl radical, and n represents an integer between 1 and 50 and preferably less than 20, or a mixture of the said compounds of formula (I), for cleaning one or more or all the components of a dialysis chain of a haemodialysis apparatus. Method using the said surfactant, as well as active oxygen-generating agent; use of an aqueous solution comprising the said surfactant and the said active oxygen-generating agent; novel aqueous solution containing them.
