Disclosed is a novel mucin glycoprotein. Also disclosed is a method for production of the mucin glycoprotein. A mucin glycoprotein having a repeated structure having 3 to 2000 of repeating units, each of the repeating units comprising an amino acid sequence represented by the formula I: Val-Xaa-Glu- Thr-Thr-Ala-Ala-Pro (wherein Xaa represents Val or Ile), and also having a sugar chain composed of one or more monosaccharides attached on at least one amino acid residue in the structure; a composition comprising the novel mucin glycoprotein; and a molecular weight marker comprising the novel mucin glycoprotein.

La présente invention concerne une nouvelle glycoprotéine de type mucine. La présente invention se rapporte également à une méthode de production de ladite glycoprotéine de type mucine. La présente invention concerne notamment une glycoprotéine de type mucine présentant une structure de répétition constituée de 3 à 2000 motifs de répétition, chacun des motifs de répétition comprenant une séquence d'acides aminés de formule I: Val-Xaa-Glu-Thr-Thr-Ala-Ala-Pro (où Xaa représente Val ou Ile), et présentant également une chaîne sucrée composée d'un ou de plusieurs monosaccharides attachés à au moins un résidu acide aminé de la structure; une préparation comprenant la nouvelle glycoprotéine de type mucine; et un marqueur de poids moléculaire comprenant la nouvelle glycoprotéine de type mucine.
